What We Do
Without changing the lifestyle of the north, eradicating poverty is difficult. Here are some of the activities that we do in Japan
1. Sutenai Seikatsu – The sole of Mottainai
SHAPLA NEER had established a system for enhancing lifestyle without throwing away things that can be used. We collect and recycle miss printed post cards, used stamps, CD or game soft for world poverty.
2. Sutenai Books – The sole of secondhand book
Through the collaboration with “Book Off”, which is one of the biggest secondhand book shops in Japan we collect secondhand books and used funds for world poverty.
3. Handicraft Sales
Purchasing these handicrafts not only produces those women's jobs, but also lets us learn their life and culture more close by seeing and touching these real products.
4. Collaboration with private company, government and other organizations.
5. Development Education
Learning modules had been invented by the member of SHAPLA NEER. We regard development education as a chance for school-aged children to know and think in their own words and their own mind about global issues.
6. Youth Forum
We provide platform for junior and high school students who would be the future leaders of international cooperation to gather and think about global issues.
