Welcome to SHAPLA NEER

SHAPLA NEER means "Citizens' Committee in Japan for Overseas Support". We have been working as a voluntary non-governmental organization for 30 years.

SHAPLA NEER has directly cooperated with 12,000 households in Bangladesh and have played an important role in that country as a middle-scale NGO, supported by as many as 80 professional staffs.

In 1995, SHAPLA NEER started projects in Nepal, chosen as a new country for our support. Local NGOs work together in partnership assisting farmers in the eastern hilly areas, aborigines in the western plain areas, and the poor in the capital Kathmandu.

Handicrafts Sales

Many volunteers all over Japan cooperate this project under the catchphrase of "The easiest support for overseas."

All handicrafts SHAPLA NEER deals in are handmade one by one, by Bangladesh and Nepalese women to improve their life.
